The KDLC partnered with the US Geological Service to conduct a survey of badger populations in Sloan Canyon on May 9. KDLC’s cooperation on this project enables the USGS to assess upland habitat connectivity in preserved areas in San Diego County. KDLC fellow Julia Sizek accompanied biologist Cheryl Brehme as well as a conservation canine (Pips) and his trainer, Heath Smith, for the survey.
